Thank you!
Thanks to the generosity and support of so many kind souls, PROJECT FOOD BASKET was a great success! We even made the paper. Click on the following link to see article: http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2008/dec/18/helping-those-who-face-challenges-project-food/
With all the donations received, we were able to adopt 18 families that consist of 18 adults and 41 children. Thanks to everyone, the families were given toys, books, stuffed animals, blankets, candy and food. We were also able to pay to have one of the families have their natural gas turned back on after three months without service.
We were also able to assemble 42 backpacks that were given the homeless. Each backpack had a variety of items that include a blanket, umbrella, toiletries, a shirt, snacks, candy, canned food and a Christmas card.
Due to the overwhelming support, we had a surplus of canned food and toys. Since we are a year round foundation, the surplus will go to birthday presents and Easter baskets of those in need.

Thank you again!
Easter 2009 we put together 17 Easter baskets for the 13 families (17 children, ages 10 months to 14 years old). They all live at a homeless shelter located in the city of Ventura. Included in each Easter baskets were toys, candy and stuffed animals that were kindly donated to help these families enjoy this holiday.
In addition, four families that have moved on from the shelter were provided canned food and household necessities.
In September, those same families received "back to school" supplies for the 2009-2010 school year!
November 2009 we were able to donate 900 dinner rolls to the One City Thanksgiving celebration located at the Knights of Columbus. An additional thanks to those who volunteered serving the Thanksgiving dinner! Good times and excellent food.
December 2009, 10 families were adopted and will receive Christmas presents.
This was all possible due to the overwhelming generosity from those who supported the idea to help one another.
Thank you all for helping one another in these difficult times!
